Psalm 11:5 The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion. God loves mankind and wants us to choose righteousness rather than sin.   God approves of those who pursue peace and care for others. He opposes those who seek to oppress and take advantage of the weak, pursue evil intent, and violence. As Christians, we are called to a different type of walk. We are called be children of light. Our strong daily witness gives hope to a lost and perishing people. Show them the hope that you have. Share not only the love of Christ with others but also tell them the gospel and how Christ has changed your life. 1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect... -         -  Pastor Steven Hunter

But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." - Joshua 24:15 Every day in the news, we see protestors demanding change.  They stress changes in behaviors.  Behaviors are merely symptoms of a deeper problem.  If you want to see lasting change in a person, you must go to the heart of the disease.  You must change more than how they act, you must transform their heart and mind. The solutions to our current society's problems aren't political or cultural. The ultimate solution is spiritual.  It's Jesus.  When Christ comes into your heart you begin to see others in a new way, as made image of God, as brothers and sisters, as valuable. You gain compassion. You learn to care, you begin to forgive, and start to selflessly love. You become Christ-like as the Holy Spirit remakes your desires. Rabbit Trails   (how to avoid distraction to step through evidence LOGICALLY) In sharing God’s WORD, our TESTIMONY, or the GOSPEL, many people will rabbit trail you. What is a RABBIT TRAIL?   Rabbit trails are statements or questions that INTERRUPT your train of thought. If I am sharing the WORD and someone says, “How can I trust a book written by MEN!”   1)       The best idea is not to DEBATE them.   DEBATE leads to nothing but closed ears. 2)       The best idea is not to make a CONTRADICTING STATEMENT which leads to closed ears. 3)       It is better to ask a QUESTION TO PROVOKE THOUGHT.   What kind of question?
